Early Signs of
Pregnancy

Think you might be pregnant? Here are the most common early signs to look for.

1

Missed Period

The most common first sign. If your period is late, it's worth getting tested.

2

Nausea or Morning Sickness

Can happen any time of day, often starting around week 6. Not everyone experiences this.

3

Breast Changes

Tenderness, swelling, or darkening of the areolas can occur early on.

4

Fatigue

Feeling unusually tired? Rising progesterone levels can cause extreme tiredness in early pregnancy.

5

Frequent Urination

Needing to go more often can start as early as 2 weeks after conception.

6

Mood Changes

Hormonal shifts can cause unexpected emotional changes.

7

Light Spotting

Some women experience implantation bleeding, which is lighter than a normal period.

8

Food Aversions or Cravings

Sudden changes in what foods appeal to you or make you feel sick.

Important: Having one or more of these symptoms doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. The only way to know for sure is to take a test.
